Nice family you are building.
Do you realize how hard it is to read something upside down when you have normal vision? Imaging being dyslexic!
does it take down easy or is it froze up?

Thats the rifle I took out the first time I went deer hunting.
other then cruddy ol grease in there it is good as new. The barrel is mint. Crown is perfect. what should i replace the grease with when i clean this off? This is the first the barrel was off in a long time i think. The guy i got it from didnt know it was a take down. So he never had the barrel off.

Nice. I am going to try and figure out a load for it. I have a set of RCBS dies already and a handful of brass. If it works out well it may come with me this year after white tail.
Yea my stupid camera has a gyro thing that re orients the picture how it thinks is right side up to how it is leaning. It is a pain in the ass.

yea it was totally not expected. I had a bunch of online ads trying to sell my crossbow or trade for a short list of rifles i was looking for. And this popped up. I was sick of looking at the crossbow. I never used it because it was a pain in the ass and the wingspan on it made it impossible to put out of the way.
The rifle probably didnt get a lot of use. Buddy was happy to get rid of it because factory 300 savage ammo is almost $50 a box or 20 rounds here. It is not common at all. He kept warning me that the ammo was really expensive.. but...

So i actually de greased it and then put a bit of copper anti seise on the threads and a spray of rem oil on both pieces then re assembled. is this correct? It was very hard to get the to pieces screwd back together all the way. I don't think this has been apart a whole lot in its life time

Awesome rifles! They look like pure Americana.

Congrats, now learn to reload it. $50 a box is outrageous!
