Got to assist a Marine yesterday at work. He'd been second in line, on foot, behind his sgt who tripped an ied in Astan. His sgt was vaporised more or less, he lost a leg at the knee and had his head laid open and has some brain damage. The Marines sent 8 men in dress blues in 2 cars to his parents place the day he was hit. They then sent him to the best hospitals they had in Germany and the US and got him stable so he could go home. The Marines also bought him a nice suv that he dearly loves. All of this was done not by the VA but by USMC for one of their own who had given up a lot. Crazy thing is he has one leg, yet doesn't use crutches or a prosthetic outside of his wheelchair. Just thought I'd share some props for USMC and a brave Marine since you brought them up.

In 1987, former U.S. Marine Corps sniper Craig Roberts, a seasoned veteran of the Vietnam war, stood for the first time at the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository. As he looked down into that the U.S. Government maintains was the kill zone used by Lee Harvey Oswald, he knew immediately the the Warren Commission's verdict that Oswald, acting alone from that position, fired three shots is 5.6 seconds with an ancient bolt-action rifle was a lie. If Oswald, by himself, could not have done it, then who could?
