It's not an "https" site here.

If you use Brave there will be a padlock icon. If it's red and unlocked you have http = unsecured. If it's a closed padlock you have https = secured.

    http://www.gunsnet.net/forum.php at IE

    this at mozilla php/37977-Changed-to-mozilla-and-now-the-http

found this when I went looking a bit.

"I'm one of the https for everything retards, too. Apple and Google are also in that group. Apple starting to force all apps on iOS to not have any unencrypted network traffic at all. They currently have workarounds to allow developers to migrate, but the workaround will be removed eventually. Google also starting to prevent apps on its Android to use http. And as the OP learned recently, Google is penalizing sites in their search ranking algorithm if the site doesn't have https."

"So it doesn't matter too much if you agree or not. The giants in the industry already joined the retarded 'encrypt everything' movement."

I think that came about with the latest two updates on Firefox. I currently have version 52.0.1 and this "unsecure" crud started with the version before this (52.0 - ?). It MAY just be their way of reminding you to check before logging in to a website because of all the hacking of databases over the last several years.

I have notice lately that many sites I go to are now using the secured HTTPS. I hope it is truly more secure and not just a feel good thing.

From what I understand it is "more" secure. I have seen something about APACHE and this...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.htaccess

Apache is tied into linux and there outer free methods to reroute to a http thingy.

And JT you are right it came in on the last 2 firefox boats.
