Carry handles have the best iron sights, IMO. They have easy-to-see night and day diameters and easy adjustments. Not all carry handles are the same, though. The cheap ones have a higher risk of breaking, and I found this out personally. I had a <$30 one once and it cracked at the base just from tightening it down finger-tight. I now have all former USGI and BCM carry handles on my open-sighted ARs. The milsurp ones run about $40.
Some of the ones I was looking at last night were 100$, I can't afford that.

Ok ordered one. I am not familiar with NCstar but we will see. I know nothing about steel or plastic mags
and what I read is the same ole do this don't do this.............bullshit. I am not dumb but I do not
want to mess with all this. I am not worried plastic or steel. I want dependable.

This. Magpul, Lancer, and USGI seem to be the most popular and reliable AR magazines out there. Example of Magpul:
8-pack of 30-rounders for $63.49
https://www.magcommander.com/collect...r-15-magazines
Single Magpul Pmag for $8.79:

Lancer hybrid mag (plastic body with metal lips) $12.49
https://www.magcommander.com/collect...ar-15-magazine
Brownells USGI style magazine $10.49

Bought a couple of the magpul's thanx.
And the carry handle is also on the way. Never heard of ncstar but ya never know...

NC Star = made in China. It not being optics should be less opportunity for them to screw it up. I use one on a .22 LR dedicated upper that fits on a standard AR15 lower. It does not sit exactly centered on the Pic rail but there is enough windage to get a zero.
ON magazines (yeah I see you got some Magpuls) these are good ones. I also like Troy battle mags, they are a tad slimmer and lighter but seem to work just as well. Lancer's are highly praised but I've never popped for one to try. I've used C Products brand aluminum and stainless steel metal magazines. These are good but I prefer the Magpuls or the Troys. If you step on the plastic mags they don't dent or crush. The metal ones will. Last comment, most bad feeding problems and jams IMO come from a bad magazine. I have yet to see a problem I could link to a brand of lower receiver.

Perfect. You are set now, assuming you've got the ammo.
When you zero, the four popular distances for zeroing an AR (BZO):
25/300 meters (Army), 36/300 yards (Marine Corps), 50/200 yards, and 100 yards. With the first three BZOs, the idea is to zero in at the shorter range and then confirm at the longer range. So, with a 36/300 yard zero, you would zero at 36 yards and then at 300 yards. The BZO you decide on all depends on your personal shooting preferences and ammo use. I prefer the 50/200 zero, as it offers the most versatile trajectory for my use with 55 and 62 grain bullets. Here is some reading for you:
