Things are starting to come together..

I had a friend tell me he wanted to BUY an AR. I told him to build. I told him that its the accessories that makes the gun yours.
I started to think about it and came to the conclusion that out of ALL the parts on the AR, there are only about 13 parts that aren't customizable, as in nobody really makes custom ones they are just standard.

    Those being;
Take down pin retaining pins and springs.
    Dust cover pin and spring.
    Grip screw.
    Selector spring and pin.
    Bolt hold open spring.
    Mag release spring
    Buffer retaining pin and spring.

Everything else, if you can see it or operate it, there are SO many variations and colors.

Yep it is a lego rifle. I watched 1 vid twice and had to check the orientation of the hammer
and trigger springs and pushed it together in my lap. My thumb and index fingers hurt like
hell right now but it is together.

Complete PSA upper with a lower build kit 385 + 25 tax, Anderson lower 30 + 7 for shipping no transfer fee. 447.00 total
and now I know how to build one. Cool.

I built an Ar for my Nephew in December.
I just finished building a vintage/modern fusion AR for my Dad.
And now bought a billet (style) lower that is Magnesium alloy (35% lighter than Aluminum, so they say, but it IS very light)
I have a complete un T-marked upper and a used Melonite 16 barrel.

I have a lower parts kit and a collapsible stock with buffer and spring.
But that is all I have right now. I'm going to go with a standard front sight but may change the barrel to a pencil barrel. Also if I can find a magnesium alloy or carbon fiber upper I may grab one to try to make this a lightweight AR.
I have also been messing around with the idea of a Adam Arms or other company, piston gas system.

You have built an AR, you see how easy it is, you will make more. Suddenly you will want to build a beater gun to keep in the car or truck.
