Screwed up - bad safe stacking ...... :(

Had a perfect Blued Ithaca 37 field gun and I threw it months ago into a safe. Then without thinking I put some other shorter firearms in there without padding or a sock. Yep, the perfect Blued engraved receiver now has three glaring scratches down the left side.

Anyone else accidentally scratch up a pristine gun?

Yes I have. But not again.

    Wink

I've scratched/nicked a number of nice guns over the years. It oddly enough seems to occur most often after a few .

    Dang, tank_monkey, that's a shame. Leaves you with a sick feeling, I know. :-(

when I was 12 I gave a rifle a nice case of rash on the stock when hunting because it was rubbing on something on my belt when I was walking around.

My dad never said anything but I felt like a dick about it, still do.
