Had a perfect Blued Ithaca 37 field gun and I threw it months ago into a safe. Then without thinking I put some other shorter firearms in there without padding or a sock. Yep, the perfect Blued engraved receiver now has three glaring scratches down the left side.
Anyone else accidentally scratch up a pristine gun?

I've scratched/nicked a number of nice guns over the years. It oddly enough seems to occur most often after a few.
