    Remington RP9

This gun is now available for $250 at CDNN. Some reviews seem good. At that price I feel I need to buy one as the price is pretty low for what you are getting and none of my current handguns have a rail for mounting a light?

Any thought on buying this gun? Comments would be appreciated. I have been thinking about getting a full size Ruger American in 9mm but that will cost me about $460.

Military arms channel did a video in which they performed like shit.

Keep in mind that is $250 after a mail in rebate, and Remington must not be too proud of them because they aren't even listed on their website.

If you want a cheap full size 9mm get one of these

I cannot recommend them highly enough, the are fantastic pistols, excellent quality and reliability.

The Ruger and the Remington are johnny come lately cash-ins that provide nothing unique.

I like Raxar's SAR suggestion but wish it had a light rail.

The k2p has one, but I prefer the closer CZ copy

Raxar what are you using for info about the EAA SAR?

I wish the CZ style pistols had a railed frame option.

Anyway, what you think of this one?

Turns out they do but not under the SAR brand. The RIA "MAPP" pistols are from the same factory and have the railed polymer frame combined with the CZ style slide and barrel.

If I didn't already have plenty of Glocks and I wanted a pistol in your price range I'd track down a Canik TP9.

I've never owned one so I can't give personal experience. I've heard a lot of good about the .45, and the other Sar's I've owned have been great. That gun has been on my list for a while, just never got around to ordering one.

I have 2 of the original TP9's and build quality is pretty shit. My biggest complaint is the trigger, but that has supposedly been fixed

I'm tempted to check one out just bc it seems like a cool obscure pistol. Honestly CZ should make a 45 in similar configuration, as the 97 is low capacity and has no rail.

Also check this out, Rock Island sells a 22 TCM9r version of the SAR series.

I've heard they all come from the same Turkish factory these days. That may not be true however.
