Everything is legal unless you get caught with it.

Good news there are as many, if not more, knife rights battles going on as firearms.
While no one ever listens to me,

Congrats on that. Antiquated law anyway.

I have always had switchblades, even carried one for several years as an EDC.

Maine passed our own switchblade law about 2 years ago. It was rolled up with the constitutional carry law. I didn't even know it was in there or who put it in.
Once the carry law passed they said also switchblades and I was all like HUH?? REALLY?? The only way that affected me is that I can see them for sale in local shops, not just gun shows and everywhere online.

All the local shops have outrageously high prices, like they are rare or special.

Today I carry a cheap Chinese made Ganzo G719. It looks like a regular jack knife, and has a weak spring, but it works.

I'm glad you're happy. Myself, I just can't seem to get too excited when a government gets all magnanimous and "grants" us some little tidbit that should have been our right from day one.

Gun laws, knife laws, weapon laws... are only for the law abiding (precisely the group that doesn't NEED a law to tell them right from wrong). The criminals... they just go on laughing.

Look at it as taking ground back from an enemy that stole it.

I look at it more as the enemy smiling as they give back a tiny piece of ground that we gave them without a whimper...

...then sneering with contempt as we grovel in gratitude for our returned tiny tid-bit.

Well, the important part is; if you ever has to use a knife of this type in a self defense scenario it could be the difference between continuing your life or spending a decade in prison. No small thing.
    Returns June 3rd.

So, what is the point of them relaxing this law? If the only knife you carry is an automatic one, and you face a live or die situation, then you're screwed by the law for using it, and if you don't use it, you're screwed by the perp. So, it sounds like a lose-lose situation to me.

H.R.3576 - To amend title 18, United States Code, to limit the authority of States and localities to regulate conduct, or impose penalties or taxes, in relation to rifles or shotguns.
    https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-...llins%22%5D%7D

the above ensures no state or city has gun laws more restrictive than the US Constitution

Not to rain on your parade, but too many liberal politicians, from liberal/communist states, will kill this one.
