These just keep getting more expensive. Very nice though.

Nope no way I would pay that kind of money for a AK rifle.
While no one ever listens to me,
I am constantly being told to be quiet.
In a world of snowflakes,
be the heat..
Don't believe I'd pay that much either but if you gave me an hour at the range with it and a case of ammo I'd shoot it like I stole it!

Asking prices are flat crazy, but I have seen some Chinese AK/AKM variants sell for crazy prices!
I remember when Clayco Guns were about $350-$399 in the early 1980s. That was pricey (especially for 1984 dollars) but it was doable. The problem is that you just couldn't get the AMMO for it. In the early 1980s, 7.62x39mm was kinda rare. What was the point of buying a gun you couldn't shoot. I should have bought a ton of them, though. I just felt that the black plastic furniture was kinda ugly. Stupid me. All early 80s Chinese or Maadi Guns are collectable now and fetch high dollars.
I had the folder which was my first AK. Who knew!
