China may initiate ‘limited war’ with India

If you've not been following, China is pissed at India since India stopped Chinese troops from building a road on Bhutan territory, Bhutan invited India to step in and block the Chinese. The region is common to all three countries and of course China wants it just like China made islands in the South China Sea, and so on and so forth. However, China may be willing to throw down if India doesn't remove its troops. it's mostly mountainous terrian and worthless to anyone save for the fact that it would be a perfect place from wich to strangle India's access to its northern parts.

China is preparing to initiate a ‘limited war’ to push the Indian soldiers out of the disputed Doklam area, an article published in China’s state newspaper Global Times has claimed.
The tension between China and India started in June when Indian soldiers entered Doklam area situated between Bhutan and China and they stopped Chinese soldiers from building a road there.
Both, China and Bhutan lay claim to the area. Indian army entered the area on the request of Bhutan and a standoff between the two armies has been continuing since.

The two sets of troops then confronted each other close to a highly strategic valley controlled by China that separates India from Bhutan – a close Indian ally – and gives China access to the so-called Chicken’s Neck, a slither of land that connects India to its remote northeastern regions.
Indian media have reported that the dispute began when China removed an old Indian bunker. China says that unlike other parts of their shared border, the delineation of the frontier with Sikkim is settled, and it has the right to develop the area. The Nathu La Pass, which lies on the frontier between Sikkim and Tibet, was the site of a fierce border clash between Chinese and Indian troops in 1967.

India Deploys More Troops Along China Border, Raises "Caution" Level
After adding a large number of troops to the region, China then sharply escalated when a Chinese Ministry of Defense warned explicitly that Indian troops must leave the contested area if they do not want war.
Then, earlier this week, tensions escalated further when as the Independent reported, the Chinese state-owned Global Times quoted a research fellow at the Institute of International Relations of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences who said China is preparing to initiate a "limited war" to push Indian soldiers out of the area.

To this, the Indian response was the abovementioned forced evacuation of a few hundred villagers living in Nathang, who were asked to vacate their houses immediately, according to News18. Nathang is 35 km from the site of the two-month old standoff.

Which brings us to today, and the latest report by PTI India, according to which in a strategically key move, India has poured in more troops along the entire stretch of its border with China in Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh in the face of heightened rhetoric by Beijing over the Dokalam standoff, according to senior government officials on Friday.

India defies missile-exporting China with cruise missile sale to Vietnam
India’s sale to Vietnam of a short-range, supersonic anti-ship missile has opened a new conflict in an already tense situation with China, an analyst said.

Vietnam will receive the BrahMos which is considered one of the most effective and lethal anti-ship missiles in the world, with speeds reaching Mach 2.8 to 3.0.

India, China soldiers involved in border altercation: Indian sources
A source in New Delhi, who had been briefed on the military situation on the border, said soldiers foiled a bid by a group of Chinese troops to enter Indian territory in Ladakh, near the Pangong lake.

Some of the Chinese soldiers carried iron rods and stones, and in the melee there were minor injuries on both sides, the source said.
