    I'm working out of state

I left most of my firearms at home in AZ except a Glock, which I gave to my daughter who lives in Florida, cause she had no pistol, or any firearm. So now I am in a hotel room outside of Macon Georgia for at least the next three months while we wrap up a project for a power plant.

Well I feel like I need a rifle or shotgun at the very least with everything going on in this crazy world.

Anyone know of a good store in central Georgia that treats customers from out of state like American citizens? I went to dicks sporting goods last night, all they had was Maverick 88s for home defense shotguns and the guy said he could only sell to neighbouring residents of Georgia. He was really rude about it as well.

Federal law says I can buy a shotgun or rifle but no pistol out of state. That is one of the most ass backwards laws there is. I can buy an AR but not a 1911...wtf?

Not sure why the guy wouldn't sell you a shotgun, as Federal law says he can. It could be a store policy, or maybe a state limitation, but I don't know for sure.

However, if your home state has limitations on what type of firearms you're allowed to possess, then other states have to follow your home state's laws in what they can sell you.

I got back from FL about a month ago and bought a rifle and shotgun from different dealers down there and I didn't have have problems with them not selling to me, so I don't know why the dick at Dick's wouldn't sell a shotgun to you.

Yep, that's how we felons do it, whenever we want a gun without going through an FFL / background check.

Do you have a carry permit in AZ?
