Sounds like the storm has shuttered some refineries in Texas.
There's going to be some localized shortages and ripple effects in prices for awhile until the supply-chain can be restored to capacity again.

Up from $1.95 to $2.15 here but my company pays for my gas so it's not a major concern for me since the wife doesn't use much gas with her job.

Last Wednesday, the prices here just east of St. Louis, MO, jumped from $2.179 to $2.599. Finally, two stations I saw today have started dropping back - but only to $2.579.
