    Question CZ Tactical Sport

Ran across one in 9x19 a couple weeks ago. Like new with three 20rd mags, box and all the extras. Asking price is $900. Wanted one for years but never ran across one locally that wasn't new at full retail. Just about convinced myself to go bak this morning and if it's still there, bring it home.

Like most of my gun purchases it's not something I need but they are supposed to be pretty accurate and I liked the way it felt in the hand as well as the looks. Trigger is really, really nice. I've got a CZ75B and 97B which have both been stellar performers. The 97B is the most accurate .45 I own. If this TS isn't any more accurate I'd still be happy.

Any thoughts or opinions on the TS?

Never heard of one till today but it is a good looking gun. Did you go back and get it?

Funny you should post this ...

I ran into a buddy I used to do gun show's with 15+ years ago, he had opened a shop and said it wasn't worth it to him to shut down the shop and even go to a local show where he didn't have to pay for a motel and restaurants for for 2 days plus paying $65 - $85 for a table ... and he typically had 3-4 tables so expenses would get high ...

Anyway I told him I was kinda in the market for a nice SiG 229, he said he had one and to come on down and take a look ... so I did.

Unfortunately when I got there this Two-Tone CZ 75 TS jumped up and said "Look at ME" ... and after that it was all I could see.
I forgot all about the 229 and left empty handed as I just couldn't drop that kind of cash right now on a pistol ... but it is so sweet and it kept digging on me. Out of the box, a two pound trigger with a short re-set ... all set up to shoot "stock" class. Single action, flat blade trigger, it comes with its own snap caps, two different contour additional sets of safety's and bolt releases and an additional extractor ... My buddy bought it for another customer a couple years ago then the customer backed out on it, my buddy shot it in a couple matches before he got out of shooting matches and it's been sitting in his show case ever since ... after looking at prices on these for a couple weeks I went back with $800 in hand and a Ruger LCP I didn't shoot (ever since I picked up a new Colt Mustang which is much nicer) and walked out with this ... its a 40S&W but I understand the 9mm barrel will drop right in

Very nice! Mine has a different case and doesn't have the snap caps or the extra safety just the slide stops and extractor buts it's also a 2014 model.

I'm not sure what year mine is, it looked so "new" I didn't think to ask and I didn't realize they had been in production since 2005 ... I haven't had much time to spend with it, after I picked it up I went to the range and shot 1 full mag (only 1 has been used) at 12, 25 & 50 yards and was very happy as it was spot on ... I'll have to do some more research on it, but I know this ... she's a keeper!

    Thumbs up

In front of the serial number on the slide is the two digit year date. Plus the factory test target should be under the foam inside the case. It will have the test fire date. The shop I got mine at also has an identical one in .40 cal.

Thanks, I'll look when I get home ... I'm at the Irish festival in Kansas City at the moment ... if memory serves, the number on the right side of the slide has a matching number just below it on the receiver and its only 5 digits.
    -----------------------------------------------------------
I got home late so I pulled it out this morning and it's a 4 digit number, not 5

The first 2 digits are 23, which to me doesn't make sense to me for a year date ... I found the test target folded in the owners manual ... It said the Date/Time was "23.08.04/07:54

I read that as August 23, 2004 at 7:54 AM ... So being a 4 digit serial number, it was one of the first 99 built?
