Hurricane Irma's projected path looks like it's going to bring it to landfall somewhere along the East Coast of the US now.
While it could still miss us completely, it's better to be ready JIC. It might not be a bad idea to start stocking up on family necessities before those who wait until the last minute clean the shelves off at local stores.
Gulf Coast people should be watching it, too, as it could stay on a more westerly path and come in low.
The other day I saw about 300-400 blackbirds sitting on power lines around here (usually they do this before a winter storm blows in). Maybe they know something already.
Well, I just wanted everyone in the possible areas that might be affected, to be ready....
