I live 30 miles E of Atlanta, S of I-20. And After 3 days of very cool weather( 50's- 70's)
and not a single cloud, Irma has shown up. We have high clouds.

The wind is gusting into the 30's here now. I know this has nothing to do with Irma
but we have already had a tree down that took out the power for 4 hours yesterday.

I have been monitoring the ham bands off and on. It has downgraded quite a lot. Still a bitch, though. A few days ago they said we in Tennessee may get a Cat 2 storm out of it.

The new update has tropical storm watches for Chattanooga and that part of Tenn.

I live down in Panama City, FL. I plan on challenging the hurricane to a fight. I have already sold tickets to the neighbors and had my kids set up a ring for us to fight in. Should be a pretty even match.

High temp today for us 67*. Weather radio went off around 4 or so, Tropical Storm WARNING!!

So far this storm is all bluster. We had a wind last night. A couple of small branches got knocked off the tree in our back yard. Been raining pretty good since about 0300. Other than that, I am unimpressed. For those of you who paid for tickets, I am sorry about the lack of a show but remember - No Refunds!

Maybe bluster for you but do remember you just were in the right spot. The wind is starting
to blow here and damage is starting to mount around the state. We are under the first Tropical
Storm Warning ever.

To tell you the truth I do not ever remember the wind blowing this hard, even during Opal.
