Steve Bannon Weighs in on the Possibility of Trump Caving on Gun Control

Former White House chief strategist and current Breitbart executive chairman Steve Bannon warns that President Trump’s base of supporters would view it as catastrophic if he changed his position on the Second Amendment and embraced gun control.

    Jonathan Swan from Axios reports:

President Trump may say he’s a defender of gun ownership rights, but with all the gun control pressure he’ll be under after Las Vegas, how do we know he’ll resist it — especially after the debt limit deal with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, and his flirtation with a deal on DACA?

I asked Steve Bannon whether he could imagine Trump pivoting to the left on guns after the Las Vegas massacre. “Impossible: will be the end of everything,” Bannon texted. When asked whether Trump’s base would react worse to this than they would if he supported an immigration amnesty bill, Bannon replied: “as hard as it is to believe actually worse.”

On Tuesday, while responding to questions concerning the Las Vegas mass shooting, President Trump said, “We’ll be talking about gun laws as time goes by.”

As of oligarchy so of tyranny, the end is wealth; (for by wealth only can the tyrant maintain either his guard or his luxury). Both mistrust the people, and therefore deprive them of their arms." -- Aristotle, Book V, 350 B.C.E

    When they come for the guns they won't just be taking the guns. This is what they want to do to us;

I lost a few minutes of my life posting on a related story comment section: LINK

Murder is already illegal. So is attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, etc...

And, these kinds of crimes such as murder already carry the stiffest civil and moral penalties... more so than any "gun law".

If a violent or crazy person decides to commit murder, does ANYONE in their right mind believe that a penny-ante "gun law" will change his mind and stop him?

If you do believe this, don't tell anyone lest you get locked up in the loony bin.

Safety and/or morality cannot be legislated - therefore "gun control" is absurdity to the max. Normal, sane gun owners will never hurt anyone. The few nutcases don't care about any law and will kill if they so desire. "Gun control" is not about "public safety". If you believe that, see the previous paragraph.

"Gun control" is people control. The liberal democrats want people control. You cannot enslave body and mind to the liberal democrat communist system if said body can shoot back. THAT, is the true reason for "gun control".

If you don't believe that, look back a few paragraphs...

Always say.....at what point do we fight back? At what point do we stand up for what we were given?

We all need to get ready to start calling congress traitors.
    "What sick, barbaric bastards.

It's one thing to use terrorism to make a political statement, but the wanton mutilation and suffering of innocents? How does that forward your political goals? When done in the name of religion, how does that earn you brownie points with God?

Fuck religious extremism. And especially fuck the "religion of peace." "

So, lagcsocialist supports terrorism AS LONG AS ITS FOR POLITICAL ENDS....

Most Americans have been complacent too long. After our fight for Independence, American citizens were wired to fight at the drop of a pin, but, over the years, we've grown used to our government and the laws we've lived with.

Now, when the Leftist Communists are about to take over our government, many of us have lost the will to fight and will just follow along with whatever the government says, mistaking "legal" for "legitimate." The government can pass any law and say it's legal, but those laws may not be legitimate, based on the Constitution. However, most citizens are unaware of what is legitimate and are ignorant of our foundation in the Constitution.

Many conservatives know what the Constitution says and what is legitimate, but the vast majority of people don't. Whether we stand up for the Constitution, or not, the ignorant will brand us kooks and radicals, so to many people, it's easier to just fold and go with the flow rather than look like a kook.

Yes, if it comes to armed conflict, each person must make a choice where they're going to stand and whatever comes, comes. We won't have numbers on our side, but that doesn't mean we can't win.

The Constitution gave us the 2nd Amendment for a reason, and it wasn't for hunting. Will we use our Constitutional right, or not? The only way to protect our Constitution is to exercise our guaranteed right.

If the 2nd falls, our Constitution falls.

Well our "Speaker" -- that POS Paul Ryan is going to introduce a bump stock bill apparently tomorrow. For fucking months (excuse my language) the Republicans sat on HR 38 (concealed carry reciprocity) but they can bring an anti 2nd amendment bill to a floor vote in days apparently.

They have to use the elevated emotional status most people are feeling right now to push through whatever they can in as short a time as possible. What did that one idiot say, never let a disaster go to waste, that's why the dims put it in high gear to get the most momentum they can before the high emotions wear off.

White House Open to ‘Thoughtful Conversation’ on Gun Control
Kellyanne Conway–Counselor to President Trump–says the administration is open to “thoughtful conversation” on gun control.

She said this while speaking to CNN’s Chris Cuomo and was quoted by the Washington Times.

According to the Times, Conway spoke strongly about the Second Amendment, saying, “The Second Amendment is a bedrock within our Constitution along with the First Amendment, and these rights must be protected.” But she hedged this statement by indicating many Republicans on Capitol Hill are “open to a conversation.” She added, “We always welcome thoughtful conversation.”

He has fired or forced out most every real conservative from the cabinet and surrounded himself with gold sacks and nwo lackeys, so if he moves on guns we know where he stands; he's not the trump card of the almighty but the trump card of satan.
