    Question Blade runner 2049

Worth seeing? Big fan of the original and thinking about hitting the theater tomorrow. I try to watch these type of sequels/remakes without comparing to the original and let them stand or fall on their own merit.

I just assume every new movie is cucked sjw bullshit and refuse to give them my shekels.
    Edit:
I just read some reviews and it actually looks not cucked. Filmed mostly in eastern Europe apparently. Mostly white actors. If you do see it, let us know how you felt about it.

I've heard it's actually a very well made film and a decent update to the story, best seen in a theatre for the full effect. That said, I'll be awaiting a copy online.

I thought it was pretty good and a great sci-fi fix. Not a lot of good new Blade Runner, Necromancer type Sci-Fi's out lately.

Watched half of it last nite, will see the rest tonite. think it's an excellent film, however if you haven't seen the first version - that came out in 1983, you're likely going to be confused. Also you're going to be confused if you don't "get" the first version.

The same thing that happened to the first version at the box office is happening to this most recent version, ie it speaks to serious (and older) scifi enthusiasts and not general audiences, and while the first version "bombed" at the box office it was hailed as a masterpiece of the genre, I suspect this latest version will do the same. You also get your money's worth as it has a long runtime.

No, but it can be watched online with some effort.

Saw it Saturday. Not bad but if you haven't seen the first one you will be in the dark on some of the plot.
