Anyone else tired of hearing "Home Depot truck"? I realize he rented the truck from them but it reminds me of the D.C. Sniper case where the kept harping about it being a "Bushmaster AR15". Does it really matter where he rented the truck any more than what company made the rifle? How long before they want to ban truck rentals? Wouldn't be surprised if HD stops renting them.

On the news tonight, reports were saying how he was bragging from his hospital bed about what he did. He is also reported to have said that it was his intention to get on the bridge (Brooklyn??) near this bike path and hit more pedestrians but hitting that lamp post derailed that idea.

Looking like a lost giraffe, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio stepped up to the microphone and said that “the last thing we should do is start casting dispersions” on Islam. That moment of illiteracy was then followed by a burst of illogic, as he argued that the proper response to Islamic terrorism in a tolerant country is even more tolerance.

In other words, let’s prioritize political correctness over safety and propaganda over truth. That is exactly what “our enemies want,” and that’s why they seek out the most progressive, “Islam-friendly” capitals in the world — from New York City to London to Paris — as the scenes of their terrorism. Why Did The New York Deputy Commissioner Say NYC Jihad Massacre “Isn’t About Islam”?
In a press conference after Sayfullo Saipov’s vehicular jihad massacre in Manhattan, New York Deputy Police Commissioner John Miller said, “This isn’t about Islam, this isn’t about the mosque he attends.”
Yet Saipov had a massive amount of Islamic State material on his phone, and a note in his attack truck that said, “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet.” Clearly he thinks his attack was about Islam, even if Miller doesn’t.
And the NYPD suspected Saipov’s mosque of terror ties over a decade before his massacre. How, then, can Miller be sure that his mosque had nothing to do with the attack?
He can’t, of course. Miller is making his claim that the attack has nothing to do with Islam or Saipov’s mosque not on the basis of any evidence, but on the basis of fear.
