Remember Chief Thunder? I still have lots of his full auto videos.

Yeah I seem to recall 99 as we were discussing y2k a lot. I also remember staying up half the night during the 2000 election.
I still believe in this site and post often.
I miss HDR among others. There were some very WISE and rational members of Gunsnet in the past.
And there was also FERD! bwahahahaha
I was also wondering if MarkDucati ever got things straightened out.
1999 member here.. before the shutdown this place was THE gun forum for discussion.
I believe I joined in late '98.

Not to pile on...but I remember old MC was always going on about he was a dentist & made "300 K a year" & had all these great toys, etc etc.
Despite that, he later said his wife ran off with some dude who turned out to be bisexual & gave her a fatal dose of AIDS, or something to that effect. I think he might have been bipolar after reading a lot of the stuff he broadcast here...

I can definitely say your statements are incorrect. I met him more than once and have a cap in my mouth that he made. He is a Dentist and perhaps the best one I've ever had work on my mouth. He did have tons of stuff, much of which went in the divorce from his first wife. ( I got to see his collection and home before all hell broke lose on his marriage). I saw her for maybe 15 minutes one time only. I remember her as on the tall side 5-8 or so, good looking dark hair and evidently crazy as bat-shit. Ducati is a very nice guy from what I could tell, a devote Christian as well.

I made my observation based on memory of some of the stuff he posted here over the years. If you actually know him, that trumps impressions gleaned from the internet. I hope he's doing okay.
