I use IObit Malware Fighter as my main protection. It's been excellent and it continuously monitors everything I do while the computer is on. It'll warn you of suspected malware intrusion before you actually click onto a site. It has saved my butt more than once. I went with the free version and liked it, then I paid for the full version and it's been great.

Well after something like 12 years I uninstalled McAfee and went with malwarebytes. We'll see.

In addition to those three, I also use ZoneAlarm's "free" firewall.
