Canadian vs American booze and ammo prices.

It's always a curious thing to me how much cheaper stuff is down there for you guys. Let's do a bit of comparing. I just bought a 750ml bottle of Jim Beam Devils Cut for $23.29 and a 6 pack of local IPA (Alexander Keith's) for 11.64 both prices are in Canadian so that would make it $9.04 us for the beer and $18.10 us for the whiskey.. what would you guys pay in your areas for these?

IPAs run between $8-10, and that bourbon would run you about $20 in Houston, Texas

I remember truck drivers pulling into the tax free stores right before the border when I drove into your stinking country and onward to Winnipeg, MB every 2nd week.

In Virginia Evan Williams $16.99 per 750ml, Maker's Mark $23.99 per 750ml, McClelland's Highland single malt scotch $22.99 per 750ml. Haven't bought ammo in awhile.

so its good to know that the Canadian prices are on parts with us prices. I thought we were getting ripped off up here. People here still say that booze and cigarettes are half for you then what we pay. I have always bought my legal limit on booze to bring home whenever I was in the us and never gave it any thought. always assuming I was getting a deal. apparently not. because once I pay the duty on it crossing the border it becomes more then the local price.

I can't afford to drink out here in Aleutian Hell. That Devil's Cut is close to $40 a bottle and the beer for the average craft is a little less than $20 and I won't drink the cheaper usual suspect national brands except for Coors.

Usually sufferers of paraphilic infantilism are proud of their condition. Kinda like being a liberal. Your mental flaws are there for the entire world to see, and you're damned proud of it. - tank_monkey
