Thumbs up Remember Eric Liddell of Chariots of Fire?

Remembered as Scotland's most famous Athlete from 1924 Paris Olympic Games, English Men's Track Team. He is just given a line at the end of Chariots of Fire, saying Eric Liddell Died in China at the end of the War, all of Scotland Mourned. There was more to his Story. On Wings of Eagles, the new DVD I got off of Netflix this Week, well played by Joseph Fiennes When War Breaks out, in 1937, he sends his Wife and Kids home. When the Japanese take the Country, He and everyone is the School he was Teaching at is Interned in a Camp. Sadly the Olympic Champion we all recall, slowly wears down, He Died of a Brain Hemorige in March, 1945, 5 Months before the War ended. Well done Movie. Sort of a smaller version of 1988's Empire of the Sun. Paul

Can't say that I ever watched Chariots of fire. On Wings of Eagles? I'm always in the mood to collect another movie. Empire of the Sun is an awesome movie. I have to admit my eyes start leaking watching that. I'm trying to think of a movie I watched about a Korean vs a Japanese runner and they got caught up in WW2 and the Korean ends up saving the Japanese after all the abuse. OK just looked it up, My Way. I have so many movies I have trouble remembering.

Just Wings of Eagles, On Wings of Eagles, was a NBC T.V. Movie from 1986.

    yep
While no one ever listens to me,
I am constantly being told to be quiet.

    In a world of snowflakes,
    be the heat..
