When you have an awesome wife that takes you for a ride in the HMMWV when you've had a few too many drinks

Good deal! I don't recall you getting the HMMWV must be a new purchase? Least I don't remember you posting about it? You must have enough vehicles now to do transport a division!

May be I do remember you getting this. Seem to recall where you were tracking down the correct radio equipment for one of your vehicles. Think it was this one.

HAHAHA It was 2015 when I bought the humvee, been slowly sinking money and time into the HMMWV(High Maintenance Money Wasting Vehicle). Fuel injector pump, glow plugs twice, Radio tray, cables, Vic1 coms and all that entails, RT524 and R442(can't afford SINCGARS that's way too spendy, but the radios are era to the 1989 vehicle), Standoff mounts for the antennas( that was scary drilling into the side of the humvee you recently bought), Still working on mounting the vic1 units for all 4 people. At least 3 platoons worth with the M35A3, M923 and M923A2. M936A2 to keep rear of the convoy, Haven't gotten a trailer yet for the M931A2. I'm actually thinking of buying some armor, Tanks are too spendy, I would love a light tank like the Fox or ideally the Scorpion , but APC's are more in my price range, FV432 fits the bill but it's heavy, I'd like the CVR series any of them.

Yep, I seem to recall he got that Chevy Blazer type rig and some others. I've kind of had a hankering for a Dodge M37.

She seems to be enjoying herself
Would she also be the one serving drinks?

You could replace that radio with a nice in-vehicle bar (only stock it for drives on private property, obviously).

I was the BN CO's driver for many SC National Guard drill weekends driving Humvees like that. Lots of fun. Edit to add - except sleeping in it. I spent several nights in the driver's seat.

    Thumbs up

Now you just need to mount a functional .50 Ma Deuce on that buggy.

I can just imagine spending a night sitting on these seats, It doesn't end well, even while you're young. I see a lot of people replacing these seats with all kinds of normal seats. Thank you Sir for serving!

They are cool looking vehicles. I think I'd like one of them before a jeep. Let me know if you get one. Yeah he had a M1009, I ended up buying one after the M35A3, but it's a rust bucket, rocker panels are badly rusted out now.. His was pristine.

When i get a slant back, that's going to happen. Too much trouble to try and convert the top and add the mount and bar items for a soft top. Slant backs are going a lot cheaper than they used to. They were 30-40K when they first started selling them, I've seen some go lately at 12-15K.

Yeah, the bed too. Hopefully I'll get off my ass and get some stuff done this summer, I bought a kit for sandblasting that attaches to my power washer, haven't tried it out yet.
