I think that is a B-24 without gun turrets. Maybe in a patrol configuration.
No enemy of America would have ever been killed if they didn't show up to be killed. HDR

    It's a B-24

It's the 3 strategic bombers fielded by the US during WWII, B-17, B24 and a B29.

I believe it's a B-24A or other early model. The later B-24J had a top turret, a belly turret and a nose turret.

The B-17 is the later G model, which has the nose (chin) turret. This was added since Luftwaffe fighters adopted a head on / nose to nose attack tactic. The previous F model didn't have the chin turret (but did have the top / ventral and belly turrets).

B-29's were mostly used without guns except the tail gunner so that they would be lighter and could fly higher and faster. Japanese planes had a hard time intercepting them.

    middle one is a B-24 (pre-J model).

My dad (S/Sgt Arthur S. Krupski) was a nose gunner / armorer is a B-24J in the MTO.

Notice that the J model has a self-contained cylindrical nose turret as opposed to the "glass nose" of the older models.

(another J model [not Dad's aircraft])

I used to watch "All in the Family" back in the day
The picture in the background used to always catch my eye

Mostly because my grandparents had the same one in their house
I live there now and it's still on the wall
    It's called "The Lone Wolf"

More Bettie Page. This is one of the few that I can display here.
    The others have less "coverage".

Ali - got a link for The Lounge?
I've got about 40 shots of Page. Remember "The Highlander" TV series? There was an actress named Elizabeth Gracen that went from black hair to a bobbed bleach blonde and I have a few of her too.

Those are native to the mountains to the west of here. I think the ear-tufts are a seasonal thing where they have them in winter but not in the summer IIRC.

Never thought I'd see comedy from the weather channel, but they really do know how to make me laugh.

"I didn't even expect him to come up here, thinking it was that sweet. Thinking it's that candy land like that," White said. "He wanted to pickpocket everybody. But people out here, they weren't going for none of that."
