Uses paper, and using air, sounds like a cap gun, sometimes louder.
And after taking the picture I realized that it feeds the paper too. The used paper goes into a track on the top of the gun where little fingers advances the paper as you pull the trigger.

Cool. The misses must be a natural. Bows are not easy and most of it is what you see/feel.

N/A - we played with some dangerous toys as kids, didn't we?? My younger brother and I would try and see how high we could throw those and have them pop on the driveway.

Ever make a "mini-cannon" out of a bicycle wheel spoke?

Nope but you made me think about clothes pinning playing cards in the spokes of my bike.

I don't remember how we did it, but as kids we could take a clothes pin apart and reassemble it as a "pistol" that would shoot dry Pinto Beans.

Make things by braiding vinyl lace? We would snip off quarter and half-inch piece and slip them on straight pins to make miniature swords. Could draw blood in a mini sword fight.

We used make them, but instead of a bean we would shoot matches, they would shoot and light a strike-anywhere match.......amazing we never burnt anything down.

All I remember was it took a wooden clothes pin some rubber bands to hold the pieces together and the coil of the spring was the trigger.
