Life cast silicone rubber finger that is!

Goofing around learning some FX prop making tricks today. I took a local class in Atlanta. Came out pretty good.

    Looks very realistic.

I wonder if Lorena Bobbett is taking this class just for hoots and giggles?

Well done. Looks quite realistic. The one thing that you would make it more realistic is to make the finger look deflated. When the finger is removed from the body, at least a living body, all the blood drains out of it and makes it look like a partially deflated balloon as the only thing giving it structure at that point is the bone and muscle.

My daughter did something like this for a class on forensic psychology. For an assignment the students had to stage a murder scene. She and her friends made up some fake blood and made it look like her throat had been cut and then took a picture of it. She did well in the class but I still have nightmares about that picture because it was so realistic.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!

Your monitor's color balance is off as that is dark red, no purple.

Hard to make it look deflated as this is from a mold cast from my finger We use aljinate which is a quick setting water based molding material made from seaweed. There is even a synthetic bone inside it that doesn't show from this angle.

Why is it bubbled on the end? That doesn't seem correct.

I would give you a "thumbs up" for your efforts but I'm a little "short" in that department.

It never pays to be the least bit careless around a table saw.
