Florida bill would establish tougher penalties for children caught carrying guns
After today, it's all historical.
Maybe if parents were thrown in jail with the key thrown away, they would pay more attention to their kids and make sure they aren't carrying, at least when they leave the house.
Also, the underage persons caught with a firearm should find out that running afoul of the law isn't as fun as they think it is. And the law needs to stop calling them "children" if they use firearms illegally. Treat them as adults, regardless as to age. (Nasty aren't I?)
