Whats the allure of the original open bolt macs over the ATF approved closed bolt versions. I understand the open bolts were banned because they were deemed too easy to convert to FA. Is the idea to hold on to them until the 'pocalypse and convert them to FA so you can burn through your supply of .45 acp in a couple of hours?

That, and I believe the open bolts don't have the trigger slap problem that the closed bolts have (that's why all the latest copies have rubber tubing on the triggers - padding! ).
