what is a BB device?
While no one ever listens to me,
I am constantly being told to be quiet.
In a world of snowflakes,
be the heat..
I think it's Bee Bee guns.

My wife does not know what I am giving up by taking orders to California. She is excited about the sun, Sea World and Disney Land. Though I have explained it to her she just does not get the loss of freedom and liberty that moving there entails.

There are some exemptions, but for what I have found they are very narrow. For example, if I get a letter from my Commanding Officer stating that I am on the Navy Shooting Team I can bring my AR into California (for a small fee so they can register it) but I have to get the letter redone every year and pay the registration charge every year. No such exemption I can find for handguns.

I don't think you need any exemption for handguns. you should be able to bring in off roster handguns. you are supposed to register them with the state within a certain timeframe. you cant have threaded barrels on pistols and high caps cannot be brought in, even if disassembled.
That is just crazy! It blows my mind that this exists in the USA!

Firearms brought into Kali have to be registered in 60 days and must be Kali legal...
We found out what "dealing" with progressive lefties is all about. Our side gives up something, they give up nothing and the progressives come back in a month or a year and want us to give up more... rinse and repeat...
here is a good wiki regarding moving to ca with guns.
some of your "assault weapons" may be able to be made legal. these modifications are typically not permanent and can be undone when you leave the state.

I had forgotten that all long guns now have to be registered, all of mine were purchased before the law went into effect but someone moving here would have to comply with this.
I in no way support this nonsense and hope it all gets shot down in court someday. But rules is rules. I have a family and can't afford to break them.
It looks like SB53, ammunition registration, was defeated!

After today, it's all historical.
I read this and keep thinking there is still hope.
Its tough here, no doubt about it.
When I came from Az, I left a safe full of guns there. I spent the first few years shooting my remington 700s, and shotguns which are pretty much untouchable so far to Cali laws.
But in the last two years, Ive brought in my Sar2, Sar1, ptr91, and three different ARs....
If there are gun owners, they will find a way to defeat the laws.
The BB, is a bullet button. So it basically means you can't take out your mags as fast, but you get used to it, and can move pretty fast.
Add the fact that Cali is a big state, so where I live, I shoot regularly with friends on my local sheriff dept, and they don't care about 30 round mags.
I wish the laws would change though, there are some great things about this state, but being a gun owner is definitely tougher than Texas or Az was for me.
