Now we all either have or have contemplated a "Go bag" or SHTF Bag. Usually they're pretty big and hefty and have to be thrown into the back of a car/truck/SUV. But what about a small quick response go bag?
My friend is contemplating this. See video: This is for a CAMERA backpack but it's pretty cool
The problem is that dedicated PHOTOGRAPHY bags are really expensive, but he has a discount and he thinks it's a cool idea. Check out how it changes form and accessibility. Also those little pockets and compartments are fully adjustable (the small dividers are attached by VELCRO so the small ones can be moved in any direction.
So I'm thinking: 1) Pistol 2) ammo 3) Medical kit 4) Food 5) Water 6) Firestarting equipment (either matches or other) 7) Camping tools (?) 8) Flashlight 9) Radio 10) Spare batteries 11) binoculars 12) Gloves 13) Knife 14) scissors or small cutting tools 15) Mini tool kit
Suggestions as to your optimal SMALL go bag?
If I wanted a rifle, I'd take a soft case all ready to go with ammo in the pouches or a dedicated ammo bag, or save all that BIG stuff for the BIG duffel bag for the SHTF / Disaster survival BAG.
I know photography equipment bags tend to be really expensive, but the modular nature of this got me thinking about a good QUICK RESPONSE go bag to be ready in case of disaster, SHTF, ISIS attack, whatever
