    Whitney Wolverine (original)

The original Whitney .22 semi-automatic pistol was manufactured for only a few years in the 1950s. According to author Antonio Tanglienti, a little over 13,000 of these pistols were made. It was made from space-aged materials (aluminum and plastic) and the design was ergonomic and naturally point-able.

This fine specimen originally belonged to my grandfather and was handed down to my father. When my father passed away last month it was passed on to me.

Haven't seen one of those in a long time, and you show one still with the box and paperwork, NICE!!!!

While the pistol is special by itself, having your family history makes it super special to you. Sorry to hear about the way you got it, but at least it is staying in the family.

they marketed new guns a few years ago. damn near all plastic though.

total marketing failure, most guys who had originals were trappers so no appeal for the new ones.

Thanks. I will be keeping all of my father's firearms to pass on to my future kid(s) some day. My future kids will be getting quite the inventory of guns when I croak some day!

Maybe some day down the road after I do some research. Right now I don't know enough about this pistol to risk shooting it in case there is a part or two that risks breaking after sitting for 50+ years.

I've been wanting to invest in some sort of "helmet cam" type set-up.

Yeah, that's when a dollar actually was worth something greater than a fraction of a penny.
