I've seen the MAD-9 MP5 before in the Centerfire Systems catalog but I do not know anything about the company.

They seem to be a subsidiary of Black Dog Armory, LLC. These are the guys who were making those .22 polymer magazines for the several types of drop-in Ar-15 .22 conversions. They also make a drum for the 10-22.

They look like a decent company putting together nice rifles. My initial fear was they were just going to be another Hesse front.

I really like that they use CHF barrels. The .223 models caught my eye but I don't know what to think about them using AR mags. They seem to be pretty proud of this feature though and folks who have handed it said genuine though went into it. They're even offering to convert other guns with the adaptor. Still, adapting a gun designed to use one type of mag to run the mag of a different gun usually means trouble.

The biggest thing that scares me away is the price. These guns are quite spendy and offer nothing over their modern counterparts (except perhaps the HK94 since after all these years there's still no heir apparent to the SMG crown).

Perhaps I'll look again if they offer a really nice MSG-90 or PSG-1 build.
