The instructions are on the old board.
It's very easy though - you use a tapco m4 type adjustable stock - drill a hole through the locking lever so that you can put a pin through it to hold it open - so it doesn't catch and lock the stock and then insert an AR recoil spring (cut in about half) inside of the stock to make it springy. This is basically just a bump fire facilitatator but it works very well. Probably not legal but it works.
I no longer have this assembled... and wont.
~Nemo me impune lacessit~
Of course it's legal. Regardless of how fast your rifle fires, it's still one shot per trigger pull, right? That's the devil's own definition of semi-auto.
On one of my AR-15 rifles I machined out the center two of the 4 detents on the telestock (extension tube) so that the stock is either full open or full collapsed.
Then I have a pin that holds the release lever partly depressed (so that the stock slides between the detents but doesn't fall off).
Lastly there is 1/2 of a standard AR-15 recoil spring inside with a pill bottle and roll pin in the back to retain the spring.
It works great (and it reduces recoil to almost zero in "ordinary" shooting).
Oh and yeah I did this YEARS ago... long before Aikens tried to patent a spring!

My club allows slide fire and bump firing but it's not for me ! Years ago people "ragged" my arse hard for going with what they thought were cheesy add-ons and toy-like products ! But as time has gone on it's proved to be quality choices and better construction than many of the slap-ons that I see going on ....
I'm thinking these add-ons look cheesy and are fads of ammo-waste !!
When you've already got "the Kind" why waste your time .....
Nothing but the finest weapon construction and parts used !
I am currently working on a wood bump fire stock to retain the classic Ak look and feel. Think anyone might be interested in one of them after final testing confirms its reliable? First prototype should be done in about a week.
I don't need a special stock to bump fire.
I bought one just because I like to buy the new stuff and try it out.
needed a little fitting for the rear of the reciever (about 5min with a little file)
Went together easily. the new stocks have been improved by the company
The installation video is on their site and on youtube. I put this on a romy
with a stamped receiver that I knew was a proven runner and holy shit what
a blast. It has a knob to switch between bump and semi. If you try running
through a 75 rnd drum, get out the hot dogs cause your gas tube is going
to be very hot. these are legal and have a card that comes in the box from
the BATF stating that it is. It has no springs, and works just like you, bumping
from the hip only it is shoulder fired so you can actually aim at something.
Looks cheap, works great.
Just me and my monkey....
So I take it that at some point the ATF ruled that bump fire stocks were ilegal if they had a spring but only if they had a spring?
Doobie Doobie Doo..
Bill Akins is involved with the Slide fire stock.
In fact he came kn the site a few years ago and yelled at Mrridick and Krupski for posting their hame made bumpfire stock instructions, citing patent infringement. He kept uoting people and saying "screenshot taken". What a douche.
"I'm fucking furious, I'm violently angry, and I like it. If you don't know what that feels like then I feel bad for you"
Bill left because no one gave two shits about his "patents".
