I have a chance at buying a.30 Luger. was wondering how much these should cost, and pros and cons of gun. it is in fair shape but very functional.

Are you asking about a Ruger Blackhawk chambered in .30 Carbine?
Steve
After today, it's all historical.
no im asking about a german luger 7.65x21 or other wise know as a .30 Luger
sorry looked back to see typo i fixed it
We're gonna need more info than just "it's a luger"
Yes, definitely need more information. You're asking about the P.08 Luger pistol chambered in .30 Luger. There have been multiple manufacturers and variations of this pistol. The value will vary based on rarity and condition. You can visit the link below to get an idea of the variety of P.08 pistols that have been manufactured over the years.

Not everyone buys small arms to shoot....some of us buy things collectible (in our eyes) that we have no intention of ever putting a round through.....FWIW
Hell, I own quite a few rifles, that I have never put a round through.....I have no idea if they even work. Bought 'em used....they were just something I wanted in my stable
Here's to pussy and gunpowder. One to live for, the other to die by.....Goddamn though, I do love the smell of 'em both !!!
I haven't shot many of my guns, but all I would have to do is grab a box of ammo off the shelf and head to range if I ever wanted to. If I wanted to own a Luger (and I have) it would be 9mm, only reason to buy a 30 would be if it was an awesome deal. Also, one thing about Lugers - they can be a bit tricky to run if parts don't match or are "out of tune". As OP posted it is supposedly "very functional" - that would have to be verified.
ok guys on further investigation this Luger is a 7.65x.32 and i may be a sucker but i liked it ,and it is now in my home. if i am correct in my thinking this is 32ACP right?
I think that is a super rare rifle cartridge. You sure thats whats stamped on it?7.65x32
Its probably this: 7.65×21mm Parabellum
"I'm fucking furious, I'm violently angry, and I like it. If you don't know what that feels like then I feel bad for you"
it is stamped 7.65x32
Weird.
"6.5x52 Italian, 6.5x50SR Japanese Type 30, 7.65x32 Mannlicher, .351 Winchester SL, 8mm Ribeyrolle (replica)"

"I'm fucking furious, I'm violently angry, and I like it. If you don't know what that feels like then I feel bad for you"
yes i that is correct but those are rifle not pistol. it is a 7.65 browning or also know as a 32auto 32 acp
.32acp = 7.65×17mm

"I'm fucking furious, I'm violently angry, and I like it. If you don't know what that feels like then I feel bad for you"
i think the 7.65 .32 on mine is denoting you can use 7.65/7.65 browning or .32 which is 32acp/auto/

It sounds like you either have a junky reproduction, an expensive reproduction, or an extremely rare and expensive museum piece.
"I'm fucking furious, I'm violently angry, and I like it. If you don't know what that feels like then I feel bad for you"
it is what you are calling a Junky repo it is a erma werke .32. As for junky no ,as for cheaper than the original yes but still made farley desent and is a great conversation peice that is gonna be fun to shot and i also picked it up for about 100 less than they curent market for them so that s a plus
i am and thank you now just to find ammoIf you are happy that is all that matters
