We saw it at the theaters. Came out on DVD today. Since we are home. Just went to the store and picked up a copy. Cold out. Not much else to do. Plus the water is cleaned up and dehumidifiers are running. Making some popcorn too!

Good deal. Just reserved mine so my wife can pick it up on the way home. Kind of surprised it was available but since I like the Blu-ray editions those are usually available even if the regular ones are gone. Think I'll prop Large Marge beside the big screen so she can look for her family members during the movie.

We got our copy at wall mart. (Picked up another 200 rounds of .308 zq1 ammo as well. Still on roll back. 9.97/20) When we saw the movie at the theaters. I wore a GI helmet, my son a (repo) German helmet, one of his friends wore French helmet, and the other boy wore a WWII Civil defense helmet. We got some looks, but we did have fun doing it!
Well I have to say I liked it better on the big screen. The tank battle in particular wasn't the same on a 55" screen as on the big screen with that Dolby sound. Still I enjoyed watching it again.

"And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"
Son wanted to watch it again last night. Except for the dinner scene. It is getting more enjoyable to watch.
The dinner scene is hollyweird at its finest..
Shock and awe

SHADILAY, SHADILAY!
It emphasizes the US hatred against the SS .
Same tactics tankers talked about that my dad worked with. Run up on them full speed and start biting .
Too bad they werent all built with firefly barrels from the start.

***SPOILERS***
I saw it on a plane recently. Seeing it on a 9" screen is obviously WAY less than ideal.
Review:
-Uniforms and weapons and vehicles other general realism stuff seemed really good
-The two AT guns firing on them and missing seemed unlikely, but it was April 1945 so I'll go with "untrained gun crews"
-The tank battle against the Tiger was really good
-The dinner scene in the village was really bad
-The final battle was pretty silly, but movies need climactic endings. I mean, a battalion of infantry marches down the road and seemingly every third guy has a panzerfaust AT rocket on his shoulder. They engage a lone tank and use...rifles, SMG's, machineguns, grenades, snipers...anything but the anti-tank weapons.
-The depictions of tracers in this movie was excellent, arc of fire and ricochets.
I want to watch it on a big TV with good sound.
