I'm usually pretty up on my S&W wheel guns but I've been focused on other passions the last few years so even though my gut says "do it" I thought I'd get some second opinions.

Ran across a model 10-5, 1962-68. Blued, 2", round butt with correct diamond Magnas. Case coloring is good. Blue is splotchy, poorly stored but no pitting. It's pretty tight and checks out mechanically. I doubt it's been shot a great deal but it needs a good cleaning. Figure it should clean up to 90% or better. Looking at $350 but might be able to get it for closer to $325.

Had a similar gun some years back but it was a square butt. Sold it to a coworker and always thought I should have kept it but I really wanted a round butt. I generally regard any S&W revolver in very good or better is worth at least $400 these days but I've been doing bottom feeders and a few long guns lately and I'm not at the top of my S&W game like I used to be. My gut usually isn't wrong but I have bought a few "too soon" but over the years even those have climbed in value well past the purchase price. TIA
