I agree HK. According to the article they wanted to work out all the kinks and get the price down before bringing it to market. At an MSRP of $977 I wonder how high it was originally priced. Also the article noted that you need ammo with at least 30lbs of crimp force on the bullet. They did note that most self defense ammo exceeds that amount of force but I guess practice ammo might take some experimentation. The Glock 43 is only slightly larger and holds one less round. For the money I think I'd go for the Glock.

that much crimp means the gun needs high pressure to operate normally . no thanks.
I remember a short time that originally these were in the $1700 range,then they disappeared.

After rereading the article I believe it's the way the action snatched the cartridge to the rear. The weight of the bullet can cause it to basically get left in the mag if there isn't enough crimp. Kind of like jerking a tablecloth out from under the dishes.
Kind of reminds me of the Semmerling pistol.
