    SKS id please

    I have 2 SKS rifles i need to get possible value and id
    the first is a short barrel with optics mount on the left side

    The second one has no import markings at all the stock is aftermarket.

    Question

    Kind of hard with just photos of small sections of the gun. Maybe a couple of full length photos? From what I can tell from the photos you posted it's a Chinese made model but that's about it.

    i will add full legth photos i figured the marks were more important.

    I believe the R and 4 digits would mean "Sino-Soviet"
    if not for the factory /26\ stamp.

    i have found that the short barrel sks appears to be a cowboy companion i would like to find a scope mount for it any ideas

    I saw a "CC" a few months back complete with factory mount/scope.

    Good luck on that.
    I had a Cowboy's Companion and searched high & low with no luck.
    The scopes are rare as hen's teeth.

    ok got a pic of the sks i still have to identify
    there are no import marks on this rifle anywhere. someone put the aftermarket stock
    on this rifle so please over look that

    For scope mounts try UTG, they have forearm tri-rails, back cover mounts. I put the forearm tri-rail on with a red-dot.

    To me, the first looks Russian. The markings look to be a Tula sks . The second one is Chinese for sure.
