I'm going back next week to make another try. My place is covered with tracks - and the rut is on now... has been for a week plus... so I'm hopeful.

I got a buck opening morning of firearms season with a shotgun slug.
I've been taking other friends out to hunt & haven't gotten close enough to get a 2nd deer, I have seen a bunch tho.
Season is over here so it will have to wait until next season.
