    Question What's your favorite M98 based C&R?

Of the three I own, M1903A3, Turk M38 and Persian 98/29 the 98/29 is by far the nicest. When it comes to a military mauser the prewar production at BRNO is hard to beat. Beautiful polish and bluing of forged parts with super slick action and every bit of fit and finish is top notch. What's you favorite?

I've had many M98 variants over the years but my true love will always be the Kar98k because of it's history and beauty. It really is a sexy rifle with all of it's accessories. VZ-24 and M-1903A3 would be next.

The Persian Mauser is the high water mark of the Mauser rifle, none finer really. That said, the K98k is probably the best military version of the 98 Mauser action rifle. It's not overly long, can be a fair hunting rifle as is with no mods.

Spanish FR-8, mostly because of its size and chambering.
