    Stereo Types

....if I were to go and list stereotypes of blacks and then others , what would be some of the "truths" that could be listed ?

    1. blacks like fried chicken ! Who doesn't ....
    2. blacks prefer fat women ! True , ask my friend Leroy ....
    3. blacks drink mostly Malt Liquor when it comes to beer .... True , national sales trends indicate this is true
    4. blacks only watch basketball , not true ! More trailer trash whites watch basketball ! That's not true either ! Mostly affluent and middle-class whites watch basketball !
    5. blacks have "become" more racist than most whites ever were !!!
    6. this is a racist thread .....true whether your black , white or green there is nothing wrong with preferring your race over others (it's natural)
    7. being a racist is wrong only when harming others (like jokes , bad attitudes , etc. )
Nothing but the finest weapon construction and parts used !

Udonis Haslem walks into a sperm donor bank in London...
"I'd like to donate some sperm" he says to the receptionist.
"Certainly Sir" replies the receptionist, "have you donated before?".
"Yes" replies Udonis "you should have my details on your computer".
"Oh yes, I've found your details" says the receptionist "but I see you're going to need help. Shall I call your wife for you?"
"Why do I need help?" asks Udonis . The receptionist replies
"Well, it says on your record that you're a useless wanker...."

A Heat fan dies on match day and goes to heaven in his Deep Red and Orange jersey. He knocks on the old pearly gates and out walks St. Peter.
"Hello mate" says St. Peter, "I'm sorry, no Heat fans in heaven."
"What ?" exclaims the man, astonished.
    "You heard, no Heat fans."
"But, but, but, I've been a good man", replies the Heat supporter.
"Oh really", says St. Peter. "What have you done, then ?"
"Well" said the supporter, "Three weeks before I died, I gave 100 dollars to the starving children in Africa".
    "Oh" says St.Peter. "anything else?"
"Well, 2 weeks before I died I also gave 100 dollars to the homeless."
    "Hmmm. Anything else?"
"Yeah. A week before I died I gave 100 dollars to the Albanian orphans."
"Okay", said St. Peter, "You wait here a minute while I have a word with the god."
Ten minutes pass before St. Peter returns.
He looks the bloke in the eye and says, "I've had a word with God and he agrees with me. Here's your $300 dollars back, now fuck off".

No enemy of America would have ever been killed if they didn't show up to be killed. HDR

I joke a lot of times with a friend of mine who has darker skin than I have. I rib on him "black" jokes and he does the same with "white" jokes. It's all in fun and nobody gets "offended".

Once at the range I said to him "well I guess black guys CAN shoot... but they sure can't (ice) skate" to which he replied "yeah but white guys can't jump (basketball)" and we both had a laugh.

There's a difference between a friendly joke and an actual attempt to hurt or insult someone.

Car stereos usually have greater distortion that equivalent home stereos.

I prefer Pioneer. I used to be a Clarion guy. Their quality went down hill.

Yeah, the title got me, too. I was expecting to see comparisons of stereos.

Since he wants "stereo types" and not "stereotypes," I guess I'll go with Bose. They get a lot of big sound from pretty small speakers...of course, you're going to pay for all that technology.

    Cool

I still run my sweet Kenwood amp I bought back in 1977, paired up with an early 80's Pioneer LP turntable, a pair of KEF speakers from the late 80's, and a nice SONY 5-CD player from the late 90's. Whether I'm cranking rock, blues, jazz, or classical, the sound is great from my mixmaster vintage components.

No highs, no lows...must be Bose.

Shit I built my own amplifier for my computer. It uses two Cirrus Logic PA-12 power op-amps (one per channel), an LM-358 dual op-amp as a two channel mixer and a very heavy linear power supply (i.e. transformer - not switching) that puts out + and - 35 volts at 12 amps.

The PA-12 power op-amps are driven by an LM-358 (dual op-amp) configured as a virtual ground mixer so that I can have two different input sources. The LM-358 also splits the required gains between the LM-358 and the PA-12 for better stability.

Only thing wrong with it is that it's TOO powerful. I've already nuked a set of speakers supposedly rated at 250W RMS power with it. I smelled burning varnish followed by a tinny rattling sound... the voice coils overheated!

Oh and it's built in a "black box"!

Aren't op amps pretty noisy for audio use?

Not at all. An "op-amp" is an "operational amplifier". An op-amp is just a "black box" with two inputs and one output. The gain between the input and output is (theoretically) infinity. There is a + and - input (inverting and non-inverting).

So, imagine a simple setup... the op amp with the inverting input connected to the output and the non-inverting input connected to... say... a microphone.

The mike may produce 50 millivolts of AC signal multiplied by the "infinite" gain of the op-amp to give an infinite output. But the INVERTING input is connected to the output, so whatever the output tries to do is "negated" by the inverting input.

Therefore, all that can come out of the output is a copy of the input... namely the 50 millivolts AC from the mike.

Now the cool part comes into play... imagine you use a few resistors instead of a wire and connect the inverting input to the output through resistors so that only ONE HALF of the output is fed back to the minus input.

Now the output has to swing 100 millivolts (instead of 50) to "negate" the microphone. You now have a gain of 2... 50mV in, 100mV out.

You can see by simply changing the feedback ratio, you can get any gain from 1.0 to infinity (in reality you can get 1.0 to about 1000 and after that the op-amp can feedback inside itself and go unstable).

But nowhere in this discussion was there a mention of noise... simply because there is no place for noise to come from. There IS a microscopic amount of random (white noise or hissing) caused by the electrons flowing through the circuit itself, but the amount is like a drop of water in an ocean... nothing to worry about or even notice.

    EE101 - class dismissed!

    When Dealing with Liberals-
There's no bargaining or reasoning with these morons. They're basically faggot versions of the terminator without a CPU and with a rusted, shit chassis covered with a pig shit exterior. Be up front about it and don't edit yourself.
