that's actually what I like about my Yugo Tok - the cheap and fun to shoot milsurp ammo - albeit kind of spotty on availability...

I had a Polish Tokarev that I had a 9mm conversion barrel for, even had the Chinese mags with the spacer in the back. Worked fine not 100% but very rarely did it have a jam just an occasional FTF usually with Federal ammo. The thicker rim thing, could have probably modified the extractor but didn't.

I had a Norinco that wouldn't work no how no way with a conversion barrel. That's how I found out you need a 9mm barrel bushing with the Norincos. Gun wasn't even reliable with 7.62 either. It also had a bad habit of locking up tight in the open position every now and then.

The Chinese Toks in 9mm are fairly common, they even made a double-stack mag version, and I've heard these could use Hi-Power mags but not sure if that's true.

Between those two, the Glock. But for HD I prefer the XD-45 Tactical, the 10mm might over-penetrate, where the big slow .45 will stop inside the badguy. The dead guy won't know the difference, but your neighbors might thank you.

Well that was an eye opener If I have any leftover cash after the tubes are sold I'll get the Glock 20 but in the mean time & after Helen Keller's comment I've looked into other calibers and .357 Magnum seems to be just what I'm looking for given the circumstances.

.357 magnum has been a good round since I think 1934 when Elmer Keith developed it. It is very effective with HP bullets, only limitation is it usually comes in a wheel gun except for Coonan autos.
