Honestly, I have no idea. My mother named him, although she usually called him my brother, as in, "please feed your brother", or "take your brother out to play, please".

This was a family dog. He belonged to my Mother and Step-Father. He was, however, the best friend a dog could be. I got to see him 5 days a week minimum, because I've worked for the family business for the last 5 years. I actually started for them the same month we got Beau. And now that I've been staying at home part time since March (I'm also in school full time), I've been seeing Beau more than ever. Although I have dogs at my fathers and my grandmothers (wouldn't call them mine if I didn't spend extensive time with them at some time in my life), Beau was my best dog friend, the kind that you know this is YOUR dog, and his death has left a hole in our home. And I was the one to bury him.

Sorry to ramble. I guess we all have dogs in different places we know, but theres always that one you know is your best friend.
