(CNSNews.com) – Pot-bellied pigs must be granted passage on airplanes if they are used for “emotional support” by their owners, states the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) draft manual on equity for the disabled in air travel.

The DOT published its “Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability in Air Travel: Draft Technical Assistance Manual” in the Federal Register on July 5, providing guidance that allows swine on airplanes if they are determined to be service animals.

You sure they're not talking about some old, sexist male with a 20 something niece?

I find the avatar and username of the person starting this thread slightly amusing.

No they still fly to. When I flew to the NRA convention in St Louis this spring the was a Leviathan taking up all three seats across the isle from me. When she got up to go to the sows room she farted from the effort to stand. At that point she could have had my seat as well!

We'll see how long that lasts once a couple muzzies get on a plane where someone has a pig for "emotional support".

Never wanted a pot belly piglet but suddenly the urge to get one and fly someplace sounds really intriguing, especially if a good part of the passenger list suggested Northern African origin. Can they be trained to be service animals?

Prolly.....pigs are very smart animals. Smarter than dogs as I recall.

    They can't be.

If they were smarter than dogs then they would be lying on our couches getting pet, instead of becoming slabs of pork.

I wonder if by this logic I could bring a gun on a plane, it would make me feel a whole lot better than a pig!

We eat what we eat because it tastes good, not because how intelligent it is. Dogs didn't smart there way out of being raised for food. Either that or the asians are even smarter than dogs.

It's not wise to laugh at a Warthog.........

At first I thought this was an article about taking a police officer on the plane with you for personal protection.

Personally I wouldn't mind having a private plane that just happened to be an A-10 Thunderbolt II affectionately known as a Warthog! Wouldn't have to put up with random searches of my private parts by flying my own "pig".

    Harlequin Novel, Updated.... 2012 Version:

He grasped me firmly, but gently, just above my elbow and guided me into a room, his room. Then he quietly shut the door and we were alone. He approached me soundlessly, from behind, and spoke in a low, reassuring voice close to my ear,"Just relax."

Without warning, he reached down and I felt his strong, calloused hands start at my ankles, gently probing, and moving upward along my calves, slowly but steadily. My breath caught in my throat.

I knew I should be afraid, but somehow I didn't care. His touch was so experienced, so sure. When his hands moved up to my thighs, I gave a slight shudder, and partly closed my eyes. My pulse was pounding. I felt his knowing fingers caress my abdomen, my ribcage.

And then, as he cupped my breasts in his hands, I inhaled sharply.

Probing, searching, knowing what he wanted, he brought his hands to my shoulders, slid them down my tingling spine onto my quivering buttocks.

Although I knew nothing about this man, I felt oddly trusting and expectant. This is a man, I thought. A man used to taking charge. A man not used to taking 'No' for an answer. A man who would tell me what he wanted. A man who would look into my soul and say …

Thanks for a good laugh, but then after realizing why I was laughing, I started to cry knowing that the country my father fought and bled for, and how many of his generation died for, fought against what is becoming accepted in this country.
