300 round battle packs / bricks on 10 round stripper clips. About $150 per 300 round pack or if you buy 3 of them $145 each.

This ammo is more expensive than new M855. What gives?

Show me something in stock for less. My local Wally Mart had some cases of Federal M855 in stock but really it was 46 point something per round and there would be the 6% sales tax on top of that. About the same while it lasted. They've been out now for 3 weeks.

But still, the Danish stuff isn't THAT badly priced. I do try to keep it under 50 cent though.

A bird in the hand in worth two in the bush. I refuse to dip into my stash so if I want to go shooting I have to pony up the bucks at today's prices.

The first link is an apple to apple comparison wit respect to bullet weight, (62 gr.). 55 gr. is not the same apple. As NAPOTs says, the bird in the hand .... Palmetto says it's in stock, may be it is and if so it is a better deal if the Danish ammo was just ammo. The Danish M855 is on stripper clips. The Federal isn't on 10 round stripper clips ready to go into bandoleers like the Danish.

Talking 55 gr. ammo Aim has the Wolf Gold in stock for 39.75 cents per round. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.as...box&groupid=21
