"I'm fucking furious, I'm violently angry, and I like it. If you don't know what that feels like then I feel bad for you"
The Great State of South Carolina fired the first shots of the Civil War. They fired on Ft. Sumter when Lincoln refused to remove Federal troops from Charleston Harbor. This is not a Civil War issue. We know how that turned out.
We are currently involved in keeping our 2nd Amendment rights. Any politician involved in adjusting the Constitution should be studied very closely, regardless of his home state.

Sorry your back East humor missed the mark.
I have to wonder? Just when did they move the "Citadel" ? The last time I was in the grand old city of Charleston it was still in S.C.?
And where is The Citadel now?
Yes, I'm rather aware of that (I'm a native). I was just curious where Durango thought it was?
FYI, Citadel cadets actually fired the first shots of the Civil War when they manned SC batteries that fired on and turned back to New York the Union supply ship "Star of the West" which was attempting to resupply Ft Sumter with provisions and additional troops. That happened a few months before the attack on Ft Sumter.

J. Davis.
Sho am! Definitely within the next 2 years, returning to East Cooper.
ok in my humble opinion if I could propose a vote to the convention this would be it.
to repeal the 17th amendment to the constitution.
the reason being. congress was set up to take forward the peoples business, to our government.
the senators were to be appointed by the states to take forward the states business to the government.
fast forward.
now we have Schumer, Feinstein, pick a name telling millions across this nation what to do?????
Congress has the power and the purse strings of the nation.
NOT FUKINNNN Harry Reid. Who blocks all, everything, every word, every thought, every idea. According to the constitution, before 1913, Congress holds the power.
did they not just change the Senate to give them more power? over appointees?
While no one ever listens to me,
I am constantly being told to be quiet.
In a world of snowflakes,
be the heat..
I was at the Citadel in 1998. I know very well well where it is.
HEY?!? I'm just a midwesterner who has never been to SC (or the GA coast - only Atlanta).
It also shows that Wikipedia can have poor info!
“I have little patience with people who take the Bill of Rights for granted. The Bill of Rights, contained in the first ten amendments to the Constitution, is every American’s guarantee of freedom.” - - President Harry S. Truman, “Years of Trial and Hope”
The term Congress refers refers to both the Senate and the House of Representatives, the Congress equals the Legislative Branch.
The term Congressman refers to a member of the House of Representatives.
Per our Constitution spending bills must originate in the House of Representatives.
The Democratic controlled Senate just changed its rules to allow approval of some appointees with a simple majority vote instead of 60 yay votes. SCOTUS members still need 60 votes. These are internal rules set by the Senate, not by The Constitution.
