Ask 'Nut, but IIRC yes type one. The sight is forward. NIB I'd go to $800+ these days, more if I didn't have a three already. Nice rifle. They say legends are accurate, I think the Hunters are more so...
I know where there is a used one they want $1K for in a shop. It has been there for a year, but NIB... maybe not.
What I like about Hunters is with a five or ten round mag they look like a hunting rifle, but seconds later with a forty or drum they are the weapon we love...

We found out what "dealing" with progressive lefties is all about. Our side gives up something, they give up nothing and the progressives come back in a month or a year and want us to give up more... rinse and repeat...
The Hunter is a nice rifle that many people use to build a Galil from it's receiver. I wish I could come up with a current price, but lately the prices of Chinese rifles are out of control. Way back when I saw a used Norinco Hunter for $350 and thought it was crazy, but these days that would be a bargain. Also these days seeing one in that condition is very rare, so it comes down to how much are you willing to pay for a really nice rifle that you won't see every day, and in that condition, possibly never again.
