What does the reason she was there have to do with whether or not she assaulted a police officer? Either she struck him intentionally, as a reaction to her being grabbed or she didn't strike him. What difference does it make why she was there other than to perhaps show that due to her actions and the actions of others the police were in an active confrontation with them? Even then, she hit him or she didn't. Personally I don't have a problem with the fact that OWS protested. We all have that right. I just don't agree with the way they went about it.
