What is your favorite Salad dressing?

I like ranch the best. It and its iterations taste good, are common, and are generally lower in sugar. Honestly, I use ranch more as a condiment than the normal condiments.

Blue cheese, oil n vinegar, and sometimes just plain yellow mustard. Go light on the mustard or else.

Yeah, blue cheese is good. So is Italian and most other vinegar and oil dressings.

The ranch you make yourself isn't bad, but the store bought stuff is horrible.

Yellow hotdog mustard? Never seen it used this way.

I only ever had the stuff from the store, and I thought it was good. Maybe I should try making my own.

Blue cheese is the one used most often. I like to add more cheese than usually found in most brands.

There is a "Salad Mustard" sold, but I have not used it on a green salad, it is mostly used in potato or macaroni salads.

3 parts olive oil, 1 part vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar. Bleu cheese crumbles. Perfect!

I actually like the dressing they serve at Olive Garden. Other than that Ranch or Thousand Islands.

Quote on my ship that gets repeated often. "Ranch sauce is dope as fuck"

story behind it. One of the guys a year or so ago when asked about menue changes. Blurted it out. A lot of laughter followed and it stuck to the Ranch salad dressing since.

I like Thousand Island, Honey Mustard, very seldom do Ranch. If I'm trying to cut calories I'll do Balsamic Vinaigrette with some Extra Virgin Olive Oil, a touch of salt and Black Pepper. The BV is the cheap stuff that is like water, not the high grade that is very expensive and like honey in viscosity.

Good Seasons Italian made with red wine vinegar (I add a little more than called for because I like the bite).

A woman that I used to work with made the best Caeasar salad dressing in the the whole wide world. She never measured anything. Just made it. I am not a huge fan of Caeaser salad but hers was phenomenal. So, on the occasion that we would go out. I would order it to see how it would compare, and get disappointed every time.

Now that she has retired. I can't bring myself to eat it again. But I am a fan of Blue cheese. Also like it on a baked potato with salsa.
I am with Richard as well. The FEW times that we do go to Olive Garden. I like their salads as well. We have a bottle of it in the fridge at the moment.

A great Caesar is a great Caesar. The Hotel on Royal Street in the French Quarter makes about the best.

Brianna's from believe it or not Brenham, TX is the best bottled Caesar I've ever had...

Blue Cheese and my mother's home made Italian, or French dressings. Some of the store bought French is good also. But I will eat Ranch from time to time. The Hidden Valley Ranch is pretty good.

I tend to choose salad dressings depending on my mood. Generally I like bleu cheese, but I'll take French, Italian, Ranch or Russian. I also like the various oil and vinegar mixes on occasion. Not a fan of Thousand Island except maybe on a Reuben or burger.

Not only would she make the dressing but make the croutons. The bread would come from the bakeshop. She would roast some garlic, use it in the dressing. Use the garlic oil to make the croutons. Then use the leftoiver oil to make dressing. That was some good stuff.

If you have ever had a Caesar salad made table side. That is an experience. If they do it right! We are talking Waiter pulls up. Bowl, egg yolk. anchovy, mustard. Garlic, olive oil. Salt and pepper, fresh cut Romain. Fresh grated Parmesan. And good croutons. Best salad ever.
