after digging around I decided on a
nvidia 512 mb ddr3 GeForce 8400 gs

stuck it in the slot, rolled the disk. hot damn the wife is happy.

I'm still running a GeForce 7950 in my desktop.

that desktop did not have a card and her tv said no signal when we tried to hook it up.

Thats the same reason I bought my video card years ago.

I run a monitor on my desk and the plasma screen TV on my entertainment stand. Computer outputs stereo to a stereo at the desk and a stereo on the entertainment center, and I can control both independently. It makes a badass entertainment system.

Not that it does me any good when I'm lucky to see it 8 days a month.
